About Me

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Jessica and I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – (MS drug- Tysabri) & Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).  I found out I had MS because I woke up on Nov 3, 2012 and was numb from the waist down and could not walk and by happy accident found out I had POTS a few short days later.  This blog is about my hilarious journey thru sickness and coming out on the other side.  I laughed, I cried, I laughed until I cried and now I want to share my weirdness with others.   I decided from day one that I would take this diagnosis and learn from it;  let it make me a better person because of it and I strive towards that goal every day!  If you are looking for a quick read, I’m not what you are looking for.  But I do hope to put smiles on people’s faces and show that even the scariest of situations that life can throw your way can be enjoyable, if you open yourself up to it.  It is what it is but it can become what you make it.  That’s how I roll 😛  Good luck making sense of my ramblings.  🙂

I so admire your attitude and spunk! My sister in law has had MS for 30 years and has had much the same outlook you have. She and my brother enjoyed travel, camping and all sorts of things. Her MS did not slow her down much until the last 5 years or so. They have found much better ways to treat MS than were known when she first got it.
You will be in my prayers!…….Ginny

Wow glad to hear all the support that you are getting Jessica….I’ve been diagnosed for 10 years now. Right after my son was born, woke up one morning and couldn’t pick up my son because I couldn’t feel my hands. But I never gave up and I’m doing great. I wish all of you that have MS the best because this just makes us all stronger!! It doesn’t define us but it truly opens our eyes to how we live our lives…Jessica your amazing!
